UX Researcher / Human Factors Engineer (f/m/x)

Berlin, Germany | Fulltime | Entry to April 2022

Curalie is a young, agile company in a unique location in Berlin-Mitte. Since 2017, we have been turning innovative ideas into digital offers for patients and practical tools for health care professionals. Our goal: to move patients, actively work towards health goals and improve their quality of life on their own responsibility.

How you support us

With Curalie, we have set out to develop a platform for patient-centric care of chronically ill people. In addition to the technical platform, we are also developing the content of a variety of digital therapy and prevention programs. For current and future projects, Curalie is looking for you.

  • You identify and implement usability requirements in an international context
  • You plan, document, and carry out usability engineering activities such as the definition of user groups and their requirements, task analyses and formative and summative evaluations
  • You analyze and translate research results into actionable recommendations in collaboration with the product team and the product designers
  • You create and maintain usability engineering files and support the design and optimization of usability engineering processes

What sets you apart

You worked for at least 3 years as a usability engineer, human factors engineer, or UX researcher and have experience with processes and requirements in the context of the development of digital medical products. You can underpin your expertise with a degree in psychology, engineering, human factors, Human Computer interaction, or a similar subject. You have a solid knowledge of the planning and implementation of formative and summative evaluations as part of the product validation. You are familiar with medical device regulations and usability engineering standards and you know how to implement the requirements in your daily work. You have a good knowledge of basic methods for the analysis, synthesis, and correct interpretation of research and test data. You understand how to derive user requirements from test and research results and translate them into recommendations that convince your team. Perhaps you already have experience with medical device development in international markets inside and outside Europe – if not, you want to finally discover this area for yourself.

You are a team player and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team of researchers, designers, product owners, developers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals. You like to work independently, in a structured and agile manner, with a high degree of solution orientation.

You like to work independently and agile. You have very good written and spoken English and German language skills. Finally, a bit of humor and a lot of creativity won’t hurt – we have plenty of this too.

Please note: a valid visa for Germany is required and we don’t cover relocation / extended visa assistance.
